Many of you have seen the commercial where a parent is dancing through a store, shopping for back to school supplies, while disgruntled kids listen to Andy Williams sing, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” Yes, school has begun and with it a new wave of waste reduction projects and programs.

A number of teachers year in and year out, teach there students by talking trash. Calculating recycling percentages, charting composting temperatures, researching waste reduction technologies…and this year is no exception.

Newbold school is expanding their composting program this year. With the generous help of Mike Behrle, they have quadripled their compost pile
